STUDY METHOD OF IDLE POSITION IN FUEL INJECTION PUMP

PURPOSE:To surely study the output value of an axle sensor at idle speed operation, by both inhibiting the action of idle up and study calculating an idle position to be stored on the basis of detection data of the output of the axle sensor in the subsequent idle speed condition when a study of the idle position is requested. CONSTITUTION:In case of performing speed increase control of an idle speed, the action of idle up is interrupted to be returned to a normal idle speed. If output voltage Va is below the preceding study value VAib, an arithmetic mean value between the output voltage VA and the preceding study value VAib is calculated, obtaining the new study value VAi to be read in a backup RAM21. In case of the study being processed after disappearance of a content in the backup RAM21, a value slightly larger than the upper limit value in an unevenness range of the output voltage of an axle sensor 5 under the idle speed condition is set as the intial value of the study value, and the value approximate to the true output voltage in the idle speed condition is obtained by the study.
