AUTOMATIC CUTTING DEVICE OF AUTOMATIC GRINDER FOR WOODWORKING CUTTER

PURPOSE:To prevent a ground surface of a cutter from seizure and damage by advancing a grinding wheel head with a slow speed for a certain time according to a timer every reciprocation of a travelling table provided with a cutter in order to cut the grinding wheel of a grinder for woodworking cutter. CONSTITUTION:A cutter 9 to be ground is mounted on a reciprocating travelling table 2 and ground by a rough grinding wheel 15 and a fine grinding wheel 16. The travelling table 2 is provided with engaging elements 10, 11 to operate detecting switches LS1, LS2 for changing over the travelling direction of the travelling table 2. A timer is operated by the signal from either of these detecting switches so that a grinding wheel bed advances with a slow speed for a certain time toward the cutter 9. Thus, a predetermined depth of cut of the grinding wheel is provided for every reciprocation of the table 2, and for the remaining time finish grinding is carried out without any cut so that the ground surface is prevented from seizure and damage.
