DEVICE FOR CAPTURING DUST FROM HIGH PRESSURE DUSTY GAS DISCHARGED FROM BLAST FURNACE TOP AND DISCHARGING DUST INTO ATMOSPHERE

PURPOSE:To prevent the contamination in a valve box and valve body and the leakage of blast furnace top gas and to operate safely a discharging mechanism for a long period of time in an electrical dust precipitation of the furnace top gas by providing a gas sealing valve box between plural dust valve boxes for discharging the captured dust. CONSTITUTION:The dust captured in a dry type electrical dust precipitator 11 is collected by a dust collecting element 13 in a dust transfer device 14 by which the dust is fed into a dust valve box 15. The dust enters a gas sealing valve box 16 when the box 15 is opened. The box 16 is filled with pressurized inert gas and is maintained at the temp. higher than the temp. of the dust by a heater 21. Therefore the dust does not dew, hence the contamination of the box 15 and valve body is prevented and the inflow of the top gas is prevented. The valve of the box 15 is then closed and the valve of the box 16 is opened to discharge the dust. A gas sealing valve box 18 is also provided via a dust valve box 17 in the discharging part of the box 16 to prevent the contamination of the box 16.
