METHOD FOR HOT MENDING OF COMBUSTION CHAMBER OF COKE OVEN

PURPOSE:To enable the hot mending a plural rows of combustion chambers, without causing the crack, etc. to the mended part, by measuring the temperature distributions in the combustion chamber to be mended and in the adjacent carbonization chamber, and controlling the heat quantity supplied from the heating means and the air flow rates at the protecting plate and the oven gate cover according to the measured distribution. CONSTITUTION:In the heating of the combustion chamber 6 to be mended and the adjacent carbonization chamber 1, the heating means 20 is attached to at least one of the sites in the brick structure 4 under the combustion chamber 6 to be mended and the carbonization chamber 1 and the surface at the side of the oven gate 25. The carbonization chamber 1 adjacent to the combustion chamber 6 to be mended is divided into the upper and the lower parts below the heating means 20 by the heat-retaining plate 18 having an opening with adjustable area. A heating means 17 is inserted between the bottom of the carbonization chamber 1 and the heat- retaining plate 18, and the oven gate 25 of the carbonization chamber 1 is covered with the oven gate cover 21. The temperature distributions in the combustion chamber 6 to be mended and the carbonization chamber 1, and the quantity of supplied heat and the area of the openings of the protection plate 18 and the oven gate cover 21 are adjusted according to the measured temperature distribution. A plural rows of the combustion chambers 6 can be mended simultaneously while maintaining the other combustion chambers 2 and the carbonization chambers in heated state.
