FUNGICIDE CONTAINING ORGANIC SOLVENT EXTRACT OF SEED AND POD OF SENNA AS ACTIVE COMPONENT

PURPOSE:To provide a fungicide effective to the blight of powdery mildew, etc., by using the organic solvent extract of the seed or pod of senna, or torosacrison and physcion which are the constituents of the extract, as active components. CONSTITUTION:The objective fungicide contains the extract of the seed or pod of senna with an organic solvent, especially 3,4-dihydro-3,8,9-trihydroxy-6-methoxy-1(2H)-anthracenone (torosacrison) and/or 1,8-dihydroxy-3-methoxy-6-methylanthraquinone (physcion) and/or 1,8-dihydroxy-3-methoxy-6-methylanthraquinone (physcion) as active components. These extracts exhibit preventive, remedying or systemic fungicidal activity against various plant blights.
