FOAMING AGENT COMPOSITION, GAS-FOAMABLE POLYMERIC MATERIAL, COMPOSITION CONTAINING SAME, GAS-FOAMABLE RUBBER AND PLASTIC FOAMING PROCESS

A blowing agent composition is provided comprising an azodicarbonamid; zinc oxide, zinc carbonate or a zinc salt of C.sub.1 -C. sub.4 organic acid; and an aromatic sulfinic acid or a metal salt of an aromatic sulfinic acid. For each hundred parts by weight of the azodicarbonamid, the zinc oxide, zinc carbonate or zinc salt is 0.25-25 parts by weight and the aromatic sulfinic acid or metal salt is from 1- 2000 parts by weight for each 100 parts of the zinc oxide, zinc carbonate or zinc salt. The total weight of the zinc oxide, zinc carbonate or zinc salt plus the aromatic sulfinic acid or metal salt is from 20-25 parts by weight.
