TREATMENT OF WASTE WATER GENERATED IN WASTE GAS DESULFURIZATION AND DENITRATION

PURPOSE:To simply decompose an imide type and an amide type nitrogen compounds in waste water under a mild condition using an innoxious purifying treatment agent, by adding sulfite or bisulfite to waste water from desulfurization and denitration treatment of a waste gas. CONSTITUTION:To waste water generated in the wet desulfurization and denitration treatment of a waste gas, sulfite or bisulfite is added in an amount of 0.1-5.0 times with respect to the equivalent required in reaction with an amide type and an imide type nitrogen compounds such as amide sulfate, a salt thereof and imide disulfate in waste water. The pH of treated waste water is adjusted to 3.0-12.0 by sulfuric acid or NaOH and decomposition reaction is carried out at 15-90 deg.C under stirring to decompose nitrogen compounds in waste water.
