SOUNDING DEVICE FOR MUNICIPAL DUST MELTING SHAFT FURNACE

PURPOSE:To promote a fast carbonization under a combustion at the furnace wall, facilitate a descending of the charged load and provided a positive sensing of the carbonized condition by a method wherein a flow of the in-furnace gas is forcedly directed to the outer circumference in a melting shaft furnace for processing the municipal dust. CONSTITUTION:Furnace top hopper 1 for receiving the municipal dusts 10 is arranged at the upper part of the melting shaft furnace 8 and a shutter 4 is arranged at the intermediate part of the hopper in such a manner as it may be opened or closed. On the hopper 1 may be installed a dust bucket 9 having its bottom part 11 opened or closed. Over the hopper 1 are arranged a furnace lid 3 to be lifted up or descended down by a winch 6 and a sounding weight 2 which may be lifted up or descended down, the bucket 9 is moved when the sensing operation is performed, then the bucket may be inserted into the furnace. Diameter of the weight 2 is selected to be a value of 1/4-3/4 of a diameter of the shaft furnace 8, thereby the in-furnace gas is forcedly flowed around the furnace.
