PURPOSE:To provide a slag transporting vehicle, which is designed such that, when its arm is turned backward to discharge slag in a pan, the pan is moved near to the ground and then it is turned down, whereby scattering of slag can be prevented. CONSTITUTION:In discharging slag from pan 4 mounted on bed 3 which is formed on the slag transporting vehicle, latch actuating cylinder 29 is at first expanded to move latch 17 forward, and hook 16 is engaged with pin 6, whereafter arm actuating cylinder 12 is expanded to turn arm 8 backward. Thereupon, pan 4 starts to rotate while it is kept horizontal. Here, changeover valve in the hydraulic circuit communicated to cylinder 19 is held at its neutral position, so that oil may be discharged freely. Subsequently, when arm 8 is turned through a predetermined angle, cylinder 19 is expanded again to turn down the pan 4 about pin 5, whereby slag can be discharged to the outisde without scattering of the same.
