NOISE REDUCING CONSTRUCTION FOR AXIAL-FLOW ROTARY MACHINE

PURPOSE:To constitute a noise reducing mechanism in simple construction by pouring high-polymer compownd in liquid state into a cavity provided at the internal surface of a casing and then allowing it to harden. CONSTITUTION:A cavity 6 is formed with covers 7, 8 along the internal circumference of the inner surface of a casing. Upon removal of a plug 10 furnished on the outer cover 8, rubber in liquid state is poured in this cavity 6 and left to harden, to constitute a noise reducing structure 9. At the internal surface of this outer cover 8, a wedge 11 is furnished projectingly to provide prevention of dislocation of the rubber 9 in the cavity 6.
