MOLDING MATERIAL SUPPLY EQUIPMENT OF INJECTION MOLDER

PURPOSE:To supply a molding material smoothly, by cutting the material charged from a hopper into the width less than two thirds of an injection screw and pushing it into a screw cylinder with a piston. CONSTITUTION:A bulky or sheet like molding material 20 is charged and received in a material feeding chamber 16 from a material charging hopper 17 in the condition of a material feeding piston 18 being retreated. When the molding material is sheet like, it is received in the chamber 16 in the condition of many sheets being piled. Then the material feeding piston 18 is actuated in an advancing direction with an air cylinder 19 and the molding material 20 is pushed to a material cutting chamber 11. The top part of the molding material fed in said chamber 11 is cut into the width less than two thirds of a screw 1 diameter (D) by the up-and-down motion of a cutter 12 and charged onto the guide face 7 of a casing 5.
