ADDITIVE FOR FINE COKE POWDER/OIL MIXTURE

PURPOSE:An additive for a fine coke powder/oil mixture hardly causing sedimentation of the fine coke powder when reserved at normal on high temp. for a long time and, if any, causing no agglomeration, which is prepd. by incorporating a specified polyether or its derivative. CONSTITUTION:An additive contg. (1) a polyether or its derivative of MW of 1,000-100,000, (2) a polyether of MW of 1,000-100,000 prepd. by addition of an alkylene oxide with a starting material consisting of at least one member selected from alcohols, amines and carboxylic acids each having at least three active hydrogen atoms in the molecule, and derivatives thereof, (3) a polyether of MW of 1,000-100,000 prepd. by addition of an alkylene oxide with a starting material consisting of an org. compd. having at least one phenolic OH group and at least two active hydrogen atoms, etc. The additive is useful for improving the stability of a fine coke powder/oil mixture contg. fine coke powder of average particle size =200mu and fuel oil.
