MANUFACTURE OF SINTERED MATERIAL FOR COLLECTOR FOR TRAVELING IN LOW-SPEED REGION

PURPOSE:To obtain a sintered material for a collector for traveling in a low- speed region with superior wear and arc resistances by sintering a powdered mixture contg. prescribed percentages of metallic sulfide, graphite, P, Cu and Fe. CONSTITUTION:A powdered blended starting material consisting of, by weight, 0.5-7% metallic sulfide, 0.5-5% graphite, =2% P, 20-50% Cu and the balance Fe is prepared. The material is mixed, compression-molded, and sintered by heating. The sintered body has superior wear and arc resistances, and it is used as a sintered material for a collector for traveling in a low-speed region.
