PURPOSE:To apply an optimum base current to a transistor for a main switch irrespective of variation in the load state by inserting the primary winding of a current transformer in series with the primary coil of a main transformer, and applying the voltage generated at the secondary winding in parallel with a DC power source voltage. CONSTITUTION:A current transformer CT is provided in a main transformer T1. The primary winding W1 of the transformer CT is connected in series with the primary winding W1 of the transformer T1. The secondary winding W2 is connected through a diode D1 to the primary winding W1 of a drive transformer T0 and a transistor Q0. The base current of reverse direction flowed to the transistor Q1 is always set optimally to the collector current varying by the load state, and the intermittent frequency to the transistor Q can be improved.
