PURPOSE:To facilitate the design and manufacture of a circular truncated cone by preparing a hollow cylindrical coil having the diameter calculated by using the various values and the number of the bending points of the truncated cone to be formed, and bending said coil at specified angles to the surface side and the bottom side. CONSTITUTION:A value (d) is calculated by the equation by using a vertical angle gamma, a large reference diameter 2K1, a small diameter 2K2, and the number of wave shaped conductor 2n of the wave shaped circular truncated cone type element coil to be formed. A hollow cylindrical coil, wherein the diameter is of said value (d) and the width of the conductor is B, is manufactured. Said hollow cylindrical coil is equally divided into 2n portions along the circumference, and the coil is bent to the surface side at an angle phi1 against the generators provided at the divided point. Then, the coil is bent to the bottom side at an angle phi2 at the neighbouring divided point. The bendings to the surface side and to the bottom side at the angles phi1 and phi2 are alternately repeated along the entire circumference, thereby the wave shaped circular truncated cone type element coil is formed.
