PURPOSE:To prevent the liquefaction of the ground during the earthquake by a method in which a foundation pile and a casing surrounding the pile are buried into the ground, a water-permeable material is packed around the foundation pile in the casing, and then the casing is pulled up. CONSTITUTION:A custom-made foundation pile 1 is driven to the supporting ground into a soft sandy ground A, and a casing 3 with bottom plate 2 and spacer 6 is driven into the ground at a given interval around the foundation pile 1. Water-permeable materials 7, e.g., broken stones or gravels, are packed around the foundation pile 1 in the casing 3, and the casing 3 only is pulled up by leaving the bottom plate 2. Since the sandy ground surrounding the foundation pile 1 is replaced with the highly water-permeable materials, water can be discharged from the surrounding ground, and measures for the ground liquefaction and the piling work can be concurrently attained.
