1. Cysteine derivatives having the general formula see diagramm : EP0035641,P15,F1 wherein R represents hydrogen, an alkyl radical having from 1 to 4 carbon atom(s), an alkali or alkaline-earth metal or a quaternary ammonium group, R1 means an alkyl carbonyl radical having from 2 to 4 carbon atoms, a 2-(6'-methoxynapht-2'-yl)-propionyl radical or a 2-(2'-ethyl-2',3'-dihydro benzofuran-5'-yl)- acetyl radical and R2 represents hydrogen, a 2-(6'-methoxynapht-2'-yl)- propionyl radical or a 2-(2'-ethyl-2',3'-dihydrobenzofuran- 5'-yl)-acetyl radical, with the further definitions that a) in case that one of R1 and R2 represents a 2-(6'-methoxynapht-2'-yl)- propionyl radical or a 2-(2'-ethyl-2',3'-dihydrobenzofuran- 5'-yl)-acetyl radical, the other one of R1 and R2 is different from a 2-(6'-methoxynapht-2'-yl)-propionyl radical and 2-(2'-ethyl-2',3'-dihydrobenzofuran-5'-yl)-acetyl radical and b) in case that R1 represents an alkyl carbonyl radical having from 2 to 4 carbon atoms R2 is different form hydrogen in the form of the separated optically active isomers or of mixtures of them.
