The miniature ball game is played on a chequered board, being modelled on association football e.g. The subdivided playing surface has line-markings similar to the full size pitch and a line of squares separates the edges of the pitch from the edges of the board. The playing equipment comprises movable miniature players or pawns together with a ball which can be immobilised on any square, the number of players being dictated by the rules of the particular game. Ball and player movements are determined in accordance with the rules. The ball may have a flat face or may be mounted on a flat plate, each player having a reception surface upon which the ball can be placed when the ball and a player occupy the same square.
