The system includes two relays with contacts in series with the load, and the two mains supply terminals. Each of the coils is supplied by an excitation source via a synchronism detector which is associated with sensors detecting the open-closed state of the contacts. - Any absence of synchronism between the positions of the two contacts causes the interruption of the excitation of the coils. The response time of the two identical relays is extremely fast, and the risk of both contacts sticking at the same time is sufficiently small to be acceptable in the majority of applications.(0/3)
