Floor insulation on concrete base - has expanded clay granulate covered by sprayed on polyurethane instead of screed and insulation plates

The insulating floor structure comprises load bearing members with a layer of concrete poured thereon and filling the spaces between the members. Instead of a conventional levelling screed layer and insulation plates, a 1.5-2 cm thick layer of medium-size expanded clay granules and any tubing (e.g. for floor heating) is laid and supplemented to e.g. 10 cm thickness by spray application of (two-component) hard polyurethane foam in successive layers. After setting and grinding, the final screed and flooring (e.g. tiles 4) can be laid.
