A process for manufacturing oxygen free high conductivity copper from electrolytic copper comprising heating cathode copper in a graphite vessel such as a crucible or mould placed within a vacuum chamber, by radio frequency oscillations, allowing the molten copper to cool in the vessel or mould and maintaining the vacuum in the vacuum chamber till the solidified copper cools to the room temperature.
