In a method for mfr. of a solar battery of photocells, cells already connected together, terminating at exit leads, immersed in at least one plastic material contained between two rigid sheets, one of which is transparent, at least the lower face and the sides of the array are immersed in powdered thermoplastic resin, opt. together with a plastifier, together with the connecting and terminal leads, enclosing the array between the two rigid sheets, and fusing the resin in situ to adhere the photocells to the rigid sheets. A bubble free seal is obtd., at low energy cost giving a perfect seal between panels and battery, having long working life.
