Asphalted road-way repair system - has asphalt tile inserted into opening formed onto layer of liquid bitumen

The system repairs an asphalted roadway, the damaged portion of the latter being removed. Prefabricated asphalt tiles (1) are used, a section of the roadway being removed so as to form an opening in which one or more tiles fit. The opening is cleaned out, its surfaces heated and a layer of liquid bitumen poured into it. The tiles are then inserted in the opening and pressed into place. the opening can be formed to a depth equal to 110% of the tile thickness, being then blown dry and clean by hot air before pouring the bitumen.
