Inland-waterway vessel hatchway cover - has individually removable hatches supported on runner-wheels

The hatchcover arrangement has a first group of hatches carried by a support (4). A second group of hatches has a similar support (5), which is fitted higher than the first support. The first support has a vertical positioned longitudinal beam (6) which is on the outside covered by pref. plastics plates (7,8) joined at the top by plastics plate (9). The hatches have a pref. corrugated profile. The beam (6) may have freely rotatable runner wheels fitted inside the base part. The runner-wheels rest on the so called bulb-iron rails. Port and Starboard hatches may be individually coupled to simultaneous movement.
