Warm-air central heating system - has natural gas-fired burner supplying multi-storey building warm-air ducting

The three-storey dwelling has a ground floor installed burner unit (4) which connects to a burner pipe (5) for flue gas discharge. The pipe forms part of a double, integrated duct system (6) which includes warm-air duct (7). Both ducts are constructed to receive max. heat transmission from the pipe. A counter-flow system is used to eliminate chimney heat losses. At ground and first floor level branches (8) are fitted to the warm-air duct. The branches form a distribution network (9) which feed the various floor at three floors. Grilles (10) at the end of the duct supply the warm-air to the appropriate floor. The burner includes a hydraulic temp. sensor which in combination with a valve, regulates gas supply to the burner. Ducts in the cavity walls form the counter flow system and stale and foul air is separately discharged to atmosphere.
