The fastener is esp. for roof-mounting a transparent light cowl with a resilient sealing gasket. The cowl may be single, double or triple-walled. It comprises a bush with a flange at its lower end and a central clearance bore for a fixing screw or bolt. A closure cap fits over the upper end of the bush to protect the bolt head. The bush is inserted from below through a mounting opening in the flanges of the cowl and secured by a collar screwed on the bush. The cap fits over the upper ends of the bush and the collar and may be screwed on the collar end whilst the bolt head rests on the bush end. FL.
