The machine frame (1) has a holder (2) for the tape supply roll. The frame supports an angled pivot arm (3) with an application roller (4) at one end. The mechanism includes a follower roller (5) and a pressure roller (10). Below another arm (13) is a glue-tank (17) with a heating element (10). Partly immersed in the glue tank are a glueing roller (19) and an intermediate roller (20). The tape runs from the supply roll over guide rollers, (16,15,21,22) to the application roller (4). The guide rollers are of pawl wheel-construction. By moving (arrow) the box (23), the application roller with the glue layer contacts the box surface edges for final application of the tape.
