The instructional toy comprises hollow spherical elements (5) in non-magnetisable material, particularly plastics, each contg. a rod magnet whose end faces are correspondingly spherically convex. The weight of the spherical shell is reduced to a minimum relative to the magnetic strength of the rod. The rod is pref. located within the shell such that it has some freedom of axial movement.
