Compsns. contain a polymer as iodine carrier, bound, free and titratable iodine and iodide, and usual adjuvants, diluents etc. (A) contain a substantially constant ratio of titratable iodine to iodide of over 2.1:1, (B) exhibit a pH value of 4-6, and (C) contain an oxidising agent.
