Process for the removal of Molybdenum from Aqueous Solutions of manganese (ii) by adsorption on manganese dioxide and separation of the precipitate.Consists in treating Solution containing Manganese (ii) at a pH between 1.5 and 2.5, with an oxidizing Agent, such as POTASSIUM PERMANGANATE, sodium hypochlorite or at a temperature between 50 and 80 c c to form a small amount of manganese dioxide, which adsorbs the impurity of M Olibdeno; followed by separation of the precipitate after a contact time of not less than 15 minutes.These Solutions are used for the electrolytic production of manganese.
