Compsn. contg. urea, nutrients and chloroethane-phosphonic acid - useful for increasing yields of cereal, maize, sunflower crops etc.

Compsn. for controlled nourishment of agricultural plants comprises an aq. soln. or suspn. comprising (1) 0.1-80 wt.% of the following elements, as complexes or their salts, at 0.005 wt.% Zn, 0.0005 wt.% B, 0.001 wt.% Cu and 0.001 wt.% Fe, and 0.1 wt.% finely divided S; (2) 0.01-25 wt.% 2-chloroethane phosphonic acid (I) or its salts or esters; and (3) 1-20 wt.% urea. The total is 1-95 wt.%, together with additives to aid the flotation and/or dispersion of the solids, and wetting agents. When the compsns. are used, crop yields are increased, esp. with cereals, maize and sunflower crops, and harmful side effects are not observed, while a synergistic effect is achieved when the compsns. are applied to plants in the vegetative phase. Pref. N fertilisers are used before or with the compsns. and a fungicidal treatment is also given.
