ABSTRACTA novel rapid chemical method of labeling plasma proteins, other compounds and/or substances containing proteins with radionuclides of Technetium such as 95mTc,99mTc or 99TC at physiologic pH 7.4 condition, producing a sterile non-pyrogenic ra-dioactive tracer material suitable for biological and medical uses. These radiola-beled protein substances are not denatured by the labeling process but retain theirnatural physiological and immunological properties. This novel labeling techniqueprovides a simple and rapid means of labeling plasma proteins such as human serumalbumin, fibrinogen, antibodies, hormones and enzymes with 95mTc or 99mTc for scin-tigraphic imaging which may allow visualization of thrombi, emboli, myocardial in-farcts, infectious lesions or tumors.
