ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSUREThis invention relates to a chuck assembly for use ina loader of a tire vulcanizer, comprising: a ring-shaped chuckmain casing comprising an inner cylinder having a diametersufficiently large to allow a press center mechanism comprisinga centre post and a bladder to axially pass therethrough, anouter cylinder concentrically surrounding the periphery of saidinner cylinder and an upper cover connecting said inner and outercylinders; rails radially aligned between said inner and outercylinders in said main casing; a plurality of chucking paddlesheld by sliders slidably extending on a respective one ofsaid rails for movement along said rails; and a ring-shapedchuck cam disposed rotatable about a rotation axis of saidinner cylinder in said chuck main casing wherein slidershafts of respective ones of said paddles are slidably engagedwith working cam grooves radially aligned in said chuck cam.
