A B S T R A C TThe invention relates to a composite insect attractantfor male white-line dart moth (Scotia segetum) containing7(Z)-dodeccen-1-ol acetate of the formula (I)CH3-(CH2)3-?=?-(CH2)5-CH2-O-?-CH3 (I)and 9(Z)-tetredecen-1-ol acetate of the formula (II)CH3-(CH2)3-?=?-(CH2)7-CH2-O-?-CH3 (II)as active agents in a weight ratio of I to II of(50-99):(50-1), optionally along with a liquid or solidadjuvant.An other object of the invention is an insect trapcontaining said composition and a process for attractingand trapping male white-line dart moths as well as aprocess for disrupting their mating by air permeationtechnique. The invention relates further to a novel processfor the preparation of the active ingredients of thecomposition.
