SKATING,BOWLING AND THE LIKE AND METHOD OFASSEMBLING SUCH SPORTS GROUNDINVENTORJosef TERBRACK andHeinz TERBRACKABSTRACTA panel for use as a running surface or other load bearingsurface which is transportable and which self interlockswith adjacently positioned similar panel as disclosed. Thepanel is characterized in that it includes in the Ydirection, means to form a groove and tongue joint with anadjacent panel, that a connection or joint preventingdisplacement is provided between adjacent panels in the Xdirection, which connection comprises a recess or grooveformed in the panel edge of one of the adjacent panels andabove which a protruding nose or lug is provided which joinssaid recess through an inclined face, such that said recessdefines a cavity having the shape of a truncated wedgesurface and that between said recess and said panel edgethere is provided a raised part the upper edge of whichextends in parallel with the panel surface and whichterminates in an inclined face in front of said recess, andthat the edge configuration of the adjacent panel is suchthat this panel engages into the edge configuration of thefirstmentioned panel in such a manner that, for example, theprojection engages into said recess of said firstmentionedpanel, so as to define between both panels a jointpreventing displacement between both panels.
