Abstract Of The DisclosureA simplified data entry system, particularly for alawn sprinkler timer, employing three data entry pushbuttons cooperative with a multiple position mode switchhaving manual selector controls operable to present variousprogram modes or segments and associated display legends,one by one, to a data display and entry station; the modeswitch positively restricting data entry to the particularrequirements of the mode indexed to the entry station andlimiting input thereto in accordance with its programrequirements; such input data being supplied by push buttondepressions, which cooperate with a micro-computer toadvance digits in a multi-digit display.
