The invention relates to a tubular film for packaging pasty foods made of polyamide, which can absorb at least 5% water, which can be deformed essentially reversibly cylindrically with an internal pressure load between 0 and 0.6 bar and which has a matt appearance. The invention further relates to a method for producing this tubular film by multiaxial stretching of the primary tube with stretching ratios of at least 1: 2.3 in the longitudinal direction and at least 1: 2.5 in the transverse direction and complete heat setting of the stretched tube with controlled shrinkage. The invention further describes a cooked and scalded sausage and a processed cheese which are packaged in a tubular film according to the invention.
