Automatic tensioning frame for stretching and keeping under tension hides one by one during the drying operation

An automatic tensioning frame intended to stretch and keep stretched individual skins during a drying operation, so as to obtain a perfectly planar skin. Movable means for grasping and clamping (3) the edges of the skin and for tensioning it are mounted relative to a table (1), the said means being endowed with means of detection (4) and being arranged radially around the region on which the skin is arranged. The tensioning frame is characterised essentially in that above the table (1) there is arranged a flat skin support whose surface area decreases when the grasping members (3) move forward and increases when they withdraw.
