Circular knitting machine yarn feeding appts. includes a feed wheel which the yarn wraps around and which feeds the yarn when demand increases yarn tension, but is not effected when the yarn is slack due to no demand. Varying tension in the yarn moves an eyelet which increases or decreases the extent of yarn wrap about the drum. The feeding appts. is self-actuating in response to rise or fall of demand for yarn.
