The die includes a knife box located above a suction plate periodically applying a vacuum and moved vertically up and down w.r.t. box. The contact surfaces between plate and the lower end of the knife are fed with a stripping agent, esp. A liq. Each side surface of plate pref. contains a longitudinal groove fed with the liq. via a row of holes; and the knife may also contain outlet holes for the liq. The grooves are pref. filled with a strip of absorbent material, e.g. felt. Fully automatic moulding can be achieved without ceramic residues sticking to the knife box.
