A thrust washer (14), which is guided in axially movable fashion on the housing (15) and between which and the housing (15) the braking ring (6) and the two brake linings (8, 9) are situated, is displaced axially via a pressure lever (13) which is actuated by a brake-air device (11) and a compression spring (10) in order to brake the drive shaft (3) to a halt.
