Self-rolling film consisting of (A) relatively stiff film, or which is rolled (B) a softer, relatively elastic and thicker layer which is under tension and devices in corporating such film. (A) is pref. polyester, rigid PVC, polycarbonate, cellophane, synthetic paper or polystyrene (B) is pref. polyester, polyamide, inomer resin, plasticised PVC or ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer. Used as bookmarks, in strip film reading devices, for carrying printed material attached to bottles etc. The film automatically winds up into a neat compact roll when released, without needing winding mechanisms, allowing prodn. of low cost reacting devices etc.
