Double router unit for the cutting of panel edges in panels of wood or other materials and the cutting-off of the coating materials projecting over the edges, consisting of two router motors suspended separately from one another in an oscillating manner and provided with cutting tools. The oscillating suspension permits automatic adaptation of the cutting tools to different panel thicknesses and equalizes the conventional lateral run of the panel edges during the delivery. In addition, stiff coating materials projecting well beyond the panel edges can also be cut off by the double router unit construction. The guide systems in which the routers are located are each carried by two sliding guides, and automatic adaptation of the cutting tools to the panel edges is achieved by attaching the springs in an alternating manner to the top and bottom.
