The invention relates to a method and a device for producing X-ray radiation for carrying out stereo recordings and for the production of tomographs and tomo-syntheses using X-ray apparatuses whose X-ray tube has an evacuated bulb, a heating filament as a cathode, an anode having a target, and a beam outlet window. The object of the invention is to implement measures within a radiating element, that is to say within an X-ray tube, which allow these known methods to be carried out in a very short time with a very low equipment outlay and hence also at very much lower costs, and furthermore allow the quality of the results to be improved and, finally, open up new application possibilities, for example in the case of through-radiation of objects which are moving very quickly, for the first time. The invention achieves this object in that a single X-ray tube is used, and in that the electron beam in this X-ray tube is deflected at least once from at least one radiation emission point to another radiation emission point on the target.
