Plastics reflector for luminaires, especially for luminaires and headlamps of motor vehicles

Colourless, transparent polycarbonate (PC) and colourless, transparent polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) are mixed in proportions of approximately 50 per cent by weight each and processed in injection moulding systems in a manner known per se to form reflectors. The degree of reflection of the paraboloidal inner surface of the reflectors reaches such a high quality that an additional reflection layer is not necessary.
