For the metered delivery of fresh milk in a self-service manner from a storage container into a consumer bottle with intermediate connection of a measuring vessel provided with closable inlets and outlets, the whole arrangement is held at overpressure using sterile-filtered compressed air, by means of which the milk is forced from the storage container into the measuring vessel and from the measuring vessel into the consumer bottle, the closing members on the measuring vessel receiving their switching pulses from an electronic control apparatus.
