Electronic hit indicating device for shooting systems with various types of contactless determination of the projectile position by means of electromagnetic waves and indication of the hits, preferably on a commercially available television set

The arrangement is used for immediately indicating a projectile hit in shooting systems, there being the possibility of using different display devices, preferably a commercially available television set. The position of the projectile is contactlessly determined by electromagnetic waves (particularly by laser and normal light rays) in a free field through which the projectile passes. Practise targets of cardboard and electromechanical practise target structures can thus be dispensed with. A particularly advantageous factor in the device is the use of novel sensor arrays having extremely high resolution, fast video cameras, laser beams, semiconductor and magnetic tape memories (video recorders) and miniature photo-electronic components. Indicating the hits on a commercially available television set thus provides an ideal training system for gunners. Additional marks and acoustical signals can be transmitted. In addition, the possibility of wireless data transmission is provided in a simple manner. The accuracy of the indication can be better than 1 0/00 with a suitable indicating device.
