In the process for desulphurising the exhaust gas from a hot-blast cupola furnace (1) operated with dry gas handling, the hot, unpurified exhaust gas is burned in a combustion chamber (16) located immediately downstream of the furnace and charged with combustion air, a pulverulent desulphurising agent (18) being fed to the combustion chamber (16).
