Bed (100, 300) for persons needing help and/or care, with a horizontal surface (20) arranged in a frame (10), comprised of a head part (21), a medial part (22) and a foot part (23) with a support (50) configured as a cushion and displaceable with respect to said parts, as well as with a sanitary equipment arranged within the frame (10); the present invention enables persons to pass from a recumbent position to a seated position when the latter position is desired and to attend to their needs in a natural seated position, the legs being folded downwardly, the displacement of the bed (100, 300) in the desired position and the bringing closer of a toilet (40, 370) in the area of a closable opening (30) provided in the horizontal surface being effected by the patient or the person who needs to be looked after without requiring any external help, so that said bed (100, 300) may be used for persons who need care and makes it possible for them to have a wash and to take a bath.
