Audio frequency signal recording on video - is performed as pulses using memory to modify repetition rate and has converter to provide serial data from parallel input
An addressable memory is used to modify the rate of repetition of pulse data recorded on magnetic tape. The pulse data is derived from an audio frequency signal and the system achieves very high fidelity using a video signal recorder. The magnetic video recorder records and reproduces video signals and also serial pulse signals converted from analogue to digital form after sampling in response to a pulse generator. Two channels provide left and right channel signals for stereo. A converter provides serial data from parallel data input. A similar circuit enables signals to be reproduced for left and right output channels.
